Senior Cloud Platform Engineer – AWS/GCP, DevOps & AI-Powered Security | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with advanced AWS/GCP, DevOps, and cloud-native engineering experience to support the development and operation of a hybrid AI-powered penetration testing platform. This role focuses on enterprise security platform engineering, third-party technology integration, cloud and on-premises infrastructure, and full lifecycle platform management. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in cloud platform operations, hybrid infrastructure integration, and cybersecurity engineering. This is a Contract opportunity.

Core Requirements:

• 6–9 years of advanced cloud platform engineering, DevOps, cybersecurity, or related technical experience.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform.

• Deep knowledge of cloud-native infrastructure engineering and enterprise platform operations.

• Experience managing enterprise technology or security platforms through build, certification, integration, deployment, and ongoing operations.

• Experience integrating third-party security platforms into enterprise environments.

• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

• Experience engineering and supporting distributed infrastructure and application components.

• Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure automation.

• Experience supporting AI-powered penetration testing platforms or related enterprise security technologies.

• Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity assessments and vulnerability analysis.

• Understanding of security controls, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.

• Experience supporting security incident monitoring and response.

• Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience developing technical documentation, security procedures, and operational standards.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cloud engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and operations teams.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering and operational management of a hybrid AI-powered penetration testing platform.

• Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise security platforms, including build, certification, integration, deployment, and ongoing operations.

• Engineer and maintain cloud-native infrastructure using AWS and/or GCP.

• Integrate cloud-hosted and on-premises infrastructure into a unified security platform.

• Support distributed infrastructure and application components across hybrid environments.

• Apply DevOps engineering practices to platform deployment and operations.

• Provision, configure, and maintain cloud infrastructure supporting enterprise security capabilities.

• Coordinate third-party security platform integration with enterprise technology systems.

• Support platform certification, deployment readiness, and operational stability.

• Monitor platform reliability and troubleshoot infrastructure and integration issues.

• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses.

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.

• Monitor security incidents and support investigation and resolution.

• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and technical documentation.

• Collaborate with cloud engineering, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.

• Identify opportunities to improve platform security, reliability, and operational effectiveness.
