Senior AI Penetration Testing Platform Engineer | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking a Senior AI Penetration Testing Platform Engineer with 7+ years of closely applicable professional experience to lead the engineering and operational management of a hybrid AI-powered penetration testing platform. This role focuses on cloud-native engineering, enterprise security platform integration, hybrid infrastructure, and full lifecycle management of third-party security technologies. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in cloud-hosted and on-premises infrastructure, distributed application environments, and cybersecurity engineering. This is a Contract opportunity.

Core Requirements:

• 7+ years of closely applicable professional experience in full-stack development and required technologies, excluding certifications, bootcamps, and higher education.

• Deep hands-on cloud-native engineering experience.

• Experience managing enterprise third-party security platforms throughout their full lifecycle.

• Experience with platform build, certification, integration, deployment, and ongoing operational management.

• Strong understanding of hybrid cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

• Experience provisioning, configuring, deploying, and operating cloud infrastructure and application components.

• Experience integrating distributed infrastructure and application technologies.

• Knowledge of penetration testing platforms and cybersecurity operations.

• Experience conducting security assessments and vulnerability analyses.

• Understanding of cloud architecture and engineering.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and Amazon EKS.

• Knowledge of identity and access management (IAM) security.

• Experience supporting vulnerability management and security operations.

• Understanding of cybersecurity controls, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.

• Strong technical troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cybersecurity, cloud engineering, and infrastructure teams.

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

• Technical Master's degree.

• Direct software development experience within banking and capital markets.

• Experience working in cybersecurity-focused engineering environments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the engineering delivery of a hybrid AI-powered penetration testing platform.

• Manage the complete lifecycle of enterprise third-party security platforms.

• Support platform build, certification, integration, deployment, and operational management.

• Engineer and maintain cloud-native infrastructure supporting enterprise security platforms.

• Provision, configure, deploy, and operate infrastructure and application components in cloud environments.

• Integrate cloud-hosted and on-premises infrastructure into a unified security platform.

• Support distributed application architectures and hybrid infrastructure environments.

• Coordinate platform configuration, integration, and operational support activities.

• Support enterprise penetration testing and cybersecurity engineering capabilities.

• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses.

• Implement and maintain cybersecurity controls, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.

• Monitor security incidents and support investigation and resolution.

• Collaborate with cloud engineering, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.

• Ensure security platform activities align with enterprise cybersecurity standards.

• Identify opportunities to improve platform reliability, integration, and operational efficiency.
