Senior Cloud CyberTech Engineer – AI-Driven SOC & Security Platform Engineering | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking a Senior Cloud CyberTech Engineer with 7+ years of relevant professional experience to support the development of cloud-native cybersecurity platforms and AI-driven security operations capabilities. This role focuses on SIEM, SOAR, security data pipelines, data lakes, and enterprise security platform integration. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on cybersecurity engineering expertise and experience supporting Security Operations Center environments, security data orchestration, and AI-assisted incident investigation. This is a Contract opportunity.

Core Requirements:

• 7+ years of closely applicable professional experience, excluding certifications, bootcamps, and higher education.

• Strong hands-on experience in cloud-native cybersecurity platform engineering.

• Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies.

• Experience with Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) platforms.

• Knowledge of security data pipelines, data lakes, and security data integration.

• Experience supporting enterprise Security Operations Center (SOC) environments.

• Understanding of federated querying and orchestration across security systems.

• Experience integrating threat intelligence, log management, incident case management, and security data.

• Knowledge of AI-driven security operations and AI-assisted incident investigation.

• Experience with cloud architecture and engineering.

• Experience using Python and Bash for engineering and automation.

• Knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.

• Experience conducting security assessments and vulnerability analyses.

• Understanding of cybersecurity controls, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.

• Experience monitoring and responding to security incidents.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud engineering, and security operations teams.

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

• Technical Master's degree.

• Direct software development experience within banking and capital markets.

• Experience working in cybersecurity-focused engineering environments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support the development and delivery of a Unified AI-Driven Security Operations Center capability.

• Engineer and integrate cloud-native security platform components involving SIEM, SOAR, security data pipelines, and data lakes.

• Support federated querying and orchestration across cybersecurity platforms and data sources.

• Integrate threat intelligence, log management, incident case management, and broader security data.

• Contribute to AI agent capabilities supporting incident and event investigation.

• Support security data integration and analysis to improve cybersecurity monitoring and visibility.

• Develop automation using Python, Bash, and Terraform.

• Support cloud security engineering and platform integration initiatives.

• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability analyses.

• Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.

• Monitor security incidents and support investigation and resolution activities.

• Analyze security data to identify potential threats, vulnerabilities, and operational risks.

• Maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and technical documentation.

• Collaborate with security operations, cloud engineering, and cybersecurity teams.

• Promote cybersecurity best practices across engineering and platform delivery activities.

• Support continuous improvement of security automation, monitoring, and incident investigation capabilities.
