PTC Windchill Developer – PLM Systems Integration | Remote with Travel | Contract

We are seeking an experienced PTC Windchill Developer to support enterprise PLM customization, software development, configuration, integration, and system upgrade initiatives.

This position requires strong, hands-on PTC Windchill software development experience, including Java-based customization and enterprise systems integration. Candidates must have direct technical development experience rather than exclusively functional or administrative Windchill expertise.

The role will support a Windchill 14/2027 upgrade, MPMLink and Process Plans, PLM integrations with ERP and MES platforms, and related data migration and technical implementation activities.

Start Date: 10/12/2026
Location: Remote with required travel
Hours/Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Contract: Through 03/29/2027
Worker Type: W2
Openings: 3 Travel: At least 1 week/month; availability for up to 2 weeks/month required

Core Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on PTC Windchill configuration, customization, and data migration experience

  • Demonstrated PTC Windchill software development experience

  • Experience delivering 3+ end-to-end Windchill implementations and data migration projects

  • Hands-on Java-based Windchill customization experience

  • Experience developing or supporting technical solutions using Java, J2EE, JavaScript, and XML

  • Windchill 13.x and 14.x configuration experience

  • Experience with business configuration, change management, workflows, process plans, and BOM management

  • PTC Creo CAD data migration experience

  • Experience with Windchill MPMLink and Process Plans

  • Experience integrating Windchill with downstream ERP and MES systems

  • Experience with SAP S/4 and MES Apriso integrations

  • Experience reviewing and supporting PLM application code

  • Experience with integration configurations, installation scripts, build scripts, deployment scripts, cron jobs, and custom utilities

  • Experience supporting development, QA, and production environments

  • Experience with Windchill module installation and upgrade management

  • Strong technical troubleshooting and integration capabilities

  • U.S. citizenship required

  • Ability to meet the required monthly travel schedule

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

  • Experience with multiple PLM platforms or vendors

  • Experience in multi-PLM or multi-CAD environments

  • Aerospace and Defense industry experience

  • Automotive or industrial manufacturing experience

  • Experience supporting enterprise PLM modernization initiatives

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Java-based PTC Windchill customizations.

  • Support development activities for a Windchill 14/2027 upgrade.

  • Configure and customize Windchill PLM environments.

  • Deploy and support MPMLink and Process Plans.

  • Develop PLM integrations with ERP, MES, and enterprise part-library systems.

  • Support integrations involving SAP S/4 and MES Apriso.

  • Perform Windchill data migration, including PTC Creo CAD migration.

  • Configure Windchill workflows, change management, process plans, and BOM structures.

  • Develop and troubleshoot Windchill technical solutions using Java, J2EE, JavaScript, and XML.

  • Review and maintain PLM application code and integration configurations.

  • Support installation, build, and deployment scripts and custom utilities.

  • Install Windchill modules and execute upgrade managers.

  • Support technical activities across development, QA, and production environments.

  • Troubleshoot PLM integration and customization issues.

  • Collaborate with technical and functional teams to support implementation and upgrade activities.

Travel Expectations:

This position is remote with required travel for project colocation. Candidates should expect to travel at least one week per month and must be prepared for up to two weeks per month.

Travel typically begins Monday evening or Tuesday morning and concludes Thursday afternoon. Common project locations include Dallas, Orlando, Nashville, and Phoenix, with West Coast travel occurring less frequently.
