RCM Operations Training & Hypercare Support Associate – Epic Hospital Billing | Remote | Contract

We are seeking experienced RCM Operations Training & Hypercare Support Associates to provide hands-on operational support for Epic Hospital Billing revenue cycle workflows.

This fully remote contract opportunity focuses on resolving complex claims, denial management, payment posting discrepancies, and workflow issues while supporting revenue cycle operations teams through go-live and hypercare activities.

The ideal candidate has deep operational experience with Epic Resolute Hospital Billing, strong analytical troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to provide real-time coaching and issue resolution to billing operations staff.

Core Requirements:

• 5+ years of hands-on back-end Hospital Billing revenue cycle experience

• Epic Resolute Hospital Billing certification or deep working proficiency

• Strong claims processing experience

• Experience with claim edits and Epic HB workqueues

• Charge review and denial management experience

• Remittance processing and payment posting experience

• Ability to independently research and resolve complex claim scenarios

• Experience troubleshooting split claims and coordination of benefits

• Knowledge of timely filing and contractual variances

• Working knowledge of payer billing requirements

• Knowledge of EDI transactions, including 837, 835, and 277

• Familiarity with clearinghouse rejection patterns

• Strong analytical and root-cause troubleshooting skills

• Ability to distinguish operational errors from systemic workflow issues

• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to nontechnical users

• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

• Epic HB go-live or hypercare support experience

• Experience providing live operational support through chat, huddles, or shadowing

• Experience coaching Hospital Billing operations staff

• Experience developing knowledge-base articles and documenting recurring issues

• Experience collaborating with Epic technical/build teams

• Experience supporting cutover or parallel processing activities

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide first-line subject matter expertise for Hospital Billing operations teams.

• Research and resolve complex claim edits, denials, and payment posting discrepancies.

• Troubleshoot complex account scenarios to support timely claim processing.

• Provide real-time assistance through live chat, huddles, or shadowing.

• Identify root causes of operational issues and determine appropriate resolutions.

• Distinguish individual user errors from broader system or workflow defects.

• Escalate suspected Epic HB configuration or integration issues to technical teams.

• Partner with IT/build teams to validate claim edit, charge routing, and payment posting defects.

• Document recurring issues, workarounds, and resolution procedures.

• Provide just-in-time workflow coaching to billing operations staff.

• Support development of knowledge-base resources to reduce repeat issues.

• Track and report issue volumes, resolution times, and recurring trends.

• Support go-live readiness, cutover, and parallel processing as needed.

• Help improve operational efficiency and user confidence throughout hypercare.
