Walker Healthforce is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect / Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, manage, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure environments. This is a fully remote Contract opportunity requiring hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, migration, Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, CI/CD, and containerization.

Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week
Contract: Through 03/31/2027

Core Requirements:

• 3-5 years of cloud engineering or infrastructure experience
• Advanced AWS, Azure, or GCP knowledge
• Cloud infrastructure architecture and implementation experience
• Compute, storage, and networking configuration experience
• Scalable and highly available architecture design
• Cloud migration experience
• Cloud security and compliance experience
• Advanced Infrastructure-as-Code experience
• Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep experience
• Docker and Kubernetes experience
• CI/CD pipeline implementation experience
• Advanced scripting and automation capabilities
• Cloud monitoring and troubleshooting experience
• Performance and availability optimization
• Cloud cost optimization experience
• Strong DevOps collaboration skills
• Professional cloud certification

• Experience leading end-to-end cloud migrations
• Experience mentoring junior cloud engineers
• Experience with cloud rightsizing and reserved capacity planning

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and manage cloud infrastructure environments
• Provision compute, storage, and networking resources
• Design scalable and highly available cloud architectures
• Monitor performance, availability, and cloud costs
• Implement cloud security controls
• Support organizational cloud compliance requirements
• Assess, plan, and execute cloud migrations
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code templates
• Develop infrastructure automation scripts
• Implement CI/CD pipelines
• Support Docker and Kubernetes environments
• Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues
• Optimize cloud environments through monitoring and rightsizing
• Document cloud architectures and operational procedures
• Partner with development teams on DevOps practices
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship
