Process Improvement Contractor – Infrastructure Provisioning & Integrated Automation | Jersey City, NJ or Plano, TX | Onsite Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking two Process Improvement Contractors to improve infrastructure provisioning and integrated automation processes within Technology Delivery. One resource will be onsite in Jersey City, NJ and one resource will be onsite in Plano, TX.

This role will partner closely with engineering and infrastructure SMEs to improve the end-to-end lifecycle for provisioning compute, storage, and networking capabilities. The focus is reducing fragmentation, rework, exceptions, and manual effort while improving process clarity, transparency, reliability, and throughput. job

Location: Jersey City, NJ or Plano, TX – Onsite
Hours/Schedule: Full Time, 40 hours/week
Contract: Through 03/12/2027

Core Requirements:

  • 6-9 years of relevant experience
  • Advanced process improvement experience
  • Technical project management or technology delivery experience
  • Infrastructure provisioning and/or automation experience
  • Understanding of compute, storage, and networking delivery processes
  • End-to-end process mapping experience
  • Current-state and future-state workflow design
  • Experience identifying bottlenecks, handoff issues, rework, exceptions, and failure points
  • Experience improving process cycle time and reliability
  • Cross-workstream risk and dependency management
  • Strong technical stakeholder facilitation skills
  • Experience creating process documentation, checklists, decision logs, evidence guides, or runbooks
  • Experience establishing repeatable processes and reducing reliance on tribal knowledge
  • Strong stakeholder communication and presentation capabilities
  • Ability to work onsite in Jersey City or Plano

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

  • Experience improving infrastructure delivery within regulated environments
  • Integrated infrastructure automation experience
  • Experience measuring improvements through cycle time, throughput, reliability, or rework metrics
  • Experience developing standardized operating models
  • Experience using approved AI tools to improve documentation, reporting, or workflows

Job Responsibilities:

  • Improve end-to-end infrastructure provisioning processes
  • Maintain visibility into priorities, work in progress, risks, dependencies, and milestones
  • Facilitate technical working sessions and leadership checkpoints
  • Prepare agendas, pre-reads, decision logs, and follow-up tracking
  • Identify process bottlenecks, unclear ownership, dependencies, and control-related friction
  • Map provisioning processes from intake through operational support
  • Document handoffs, exception paths, rework loops, and failure points
  • Design improved future-state workflows with technical SMEs
  • Establish roles, entry/exit criteria, and definitions of done
  • Create source-of-truth process documentation and operational artifacts
  • Improve traceability and repeatability across the delivery lifecycle
  • Reduce manual effort through automation
  • Improve transparency and cross-workstream visibility
  • Support responsible use of approved AI tools for appropriate workflow and productivity improvements
