Walker Healthforce is seeking a Senior Infrastructure System Engineer to support enterprise infrastructure environments with a focus on SSL/TLS certificate lifecycle management, Windows Server, IIS administration, PowerShell automation, Dynatrace monitoring, and PKI-related operations. This role will manage certificate deployment and renewals, troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application-hosting issues, support security and compliance activities, and maintain reliable enterprise systems. Candidates must complete the required eQIP process prior to beginning work. This is a Contract opportunity.

Core Requirements:

Must complete the required eQIP process prior to beginning work.

Experience with enterprise certificate lifecycle management, including certificate deployment, remediation, renewals, and automated renewal processes.
-
Strong experience troubleshooting SSL/TLS certificates, certificate chains, trust stores, and mutual TLS (mTLS).
-
Experience deploying and managing certificates across Windows servers, IIS, application servers, load balancers, and cloud platforms.
-
Experience using Dynatrace for infrastructure monitoring, service-impact detection, synthetic monitor validation, and alerting.
-
Strong working knowledge of PowerShell scripting and infrastructure automation.
-
Experience administering and troubleshooting Windows Server and IIS environments.
-
Experience configuring, importing, exporting, and troubleshooting IIS websites and application pools.
-
Experience exporting and importing SSL certificates between virtual machines and configuring IIS certificate bindings.
-
Experience configuring Windows Features, permissions, network shares, and access controls.
-
Familiarity with Active Directory groups, Organizational Units (OUs), and STIGs for infrastructure troubleshooting.

Experience troubleshooting IIS and server configurations using .NET application errors and HTTP status codes.

Experience editing XML configuration files, including IIS site/application pool configurations and applicationhost.config.

Experience troubleshooting network connectivity and firewall-related issues.
-
Experience supporting PKI-related incident response, change control, and compliance activities.
-
Strong technical documentation, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to work independently, proactively investigate technical issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities:

Manage SSL/TLS certificate lifecycles, including deployment, renewal, remediation, and automated renewals.

Troubleshoot certificate chain validation, trust stores, and mTLS connectivity issues.
-
Deploy and manage certificates across Windows servers, web servers, application servers, load balancers, and cloud environments.
-
Export and import SSL certificates between virtual machines and configure certificate bindings within IIS.
-
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot IIS websites, application pools, and web server environments.
-
Import and export IIS sites and application pools and maintain related configuration files.
-
Install, configure, and manage Windows Features.
-
Configure and troubleshoot Windows Server permissions, shared folders, and network access.
-
Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate infrastructure administration and certificate-related activities.
-
Use Dynatrace to monitor service health, identify potential infrastructure impacts, validate synthetic monitors, and support alerting.
-
Troubleshoot Active Directory group, OU, and STIG-related issues in coordination with responsible technical teams.
-
Diagnose IIS and Windows Server configuration issues using .NET application error messages and HTTP status codes.
-
Edit and maintain XML configuration files, including applicationhost.config.

Troubleshoot network and firewall connectivity issues and coordinate incident resolution with appropriate support teams.
-
Support host file testing for applications.
-
Participate in PKI-related incident response, change management, and compliance activities.
-
Support virtual infrastructure, operating systems, networks, servers, security programs, and related software solutions.
-
Create, maintain, and improve infrastructure documentation, configuration records, and troubleshooting procedures.
-
Independently investigate technical issues, manage priorities, and escalate concerns when necessary.
-
Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, security, and application development teams to maintain secure and reliable systems.
