Data Scientist – Product Analytics | New York City, NY | Hybrid Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking an experienced Data Scientist – Product Analytics with strong SQL, Python, experimentation, and business-facing analytics experience. This is a hybrid Contract opportunity requiring 3 days per week onsite in New York City.

Start Date: 10/05/2026
Location: New York City, NY – Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite
Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours
Contract: Through 04/30/2027
Worker Type: W2

Core Requirements:

• 5-7 years of Data Science experience
• Strong business-facing product analytics experience
• Strong SQL proficiency
• Strong Python proficiency
• Experience analyzing large, complex datasets
• Hands-on A/B testing and experimental design experience
• Control group setup and efficacy measurement experience
• Strong statistical analysis capabilities
• Experience applying machine learning techniques to business problems
• Working knowledge of AI/LLM capabilities and appropriate business applications
• Strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving skills
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into actionable analytical approaches
• Strong stakeholder communication and presentation skills
• Ability to independently drive projects with limited supervision
• Ability to work onsite in NYC 3 days per week

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

• Financial products experience
• Spark/big data environment experience
• Tableau or comparable BI/visualization experience
• Strong combination of business and technical acumen

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
• Perform product analytics supporting business decision-making
• Query and analyze data using SQL and Python
• Design and interpret A/B tests
• Establish control groups and measure experiment efficacy
• Apply statistically rigorous analytical methodologies
• Apply appropriate machine learning techniques to complex datasets
• Evaluate opportunities to apply AI/LLM capabilities to business problems
• Communicate AI/LLM recommendations to business stakeholders
• Develop data visualizations and dashboards
• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define analytical requirements
• Validate data quality and analytical accuracy
• Present findings and recommendations to business partners
• Independently drive analytical projects
