GCP Data Engineer – Finance Transformation | San Jose, CA | Hybrid Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking a GCP Data Engineer with 3-5 years of cloud development and data engineering experience to provide specialized GCP capabilities supporting a Finance Transformation initiative. This is a Contract opportunity focused on scalable finance data pipeline design, integration, and cloud solution development.

Start Date: 10/01/2026
Location: San Jose, CA preferred – Hybrid flexibility
Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours
Contract: Through 03/31/2027
Worker Type: W2

Core Requirements:

• 3-5 years of cloud development/data engineering experience
• Hands-on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) data engineering experience
• Experience designing scalable cloud data pipelines
• Strong data integration experience
• Python development experience
• Experience building, testing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions
• Experience integrating cloud solutions with existing systems
• Experience optimizing solutions for performance and scalability
• Cloud application and infrastructure troubleshooting experience
• Requirements gathering and stakeholder collaboration skills

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

• Finance Transformation experience
• Finance data engineering experience
• Experience developing scalable data solutions supporting financial processes

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable GCP data pipelines
• Support finance data integration requirements
• Build, test, and maintain cloud-based data solutions
• Integrate cloud solutions with existing enterprise systems
• Develop data engineering solutions using Python
• Optimize cloud solutions for performance and scalability
• Troubleshoot cloud application, integration, and infrastructure issues
• Gather and translate business and technical requirements
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders
• Test and maintain cloud solutions throughout the engagement
