QA Automation Engineer – Playwright | Remote | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking a QA Automation Engineer – Playwright with advanced Quality Engineering experience and expert-level Playwright expertise to support front-end web application testing and automation. This is a Contract opportunity.

Start Date: 10/05/2026
Location: Remote
Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours
Worker Type: W2

Core Requirements:

  • 5+ years of Quality Engineering / Software Testing experience
  • Expert-level hands-on Playwright experience for web automation
  • Strong JavaScript/TypeScript or similar programming experience
  • Proven experience building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks
  • Strong UI test automation experience
  • Functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing experience
  • API and integration testing experience
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting capabilities
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Experience identifying, documenting, and tracking defects through resolution

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

  • Advanced front-end Quality Engineering experience
  • Experience defining QA automation standards and best practices
  • Experience scaling Playwright frameworks for complex enterprise web applications

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated UI test scripts using Playwright
  • Build and enhance scalable automation frameworks
  • Design and execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests
  • Develop automation using JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Perform API and integration testing
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
  • Analyze test results and troubleshoot automation failures
  • Identify, document, and track defects through resolution
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA engineers
  • Participate in test planning, design, and review activities
  • Contribute to QA strategy, standards, and best practices
  • Support continuous improvement of testing quality and automation effectiveness
