Senior Quality Engineer – Test Automation | Cincinnati, OH | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer – Test Automation with advanced automation and API testing expertise to support UI, API, and retail application quality engineering. This is a Contract opportunity.

Start Date: ASAP
Location: Cincinnati, OH – Onsite 5 days per week
Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours
Worker Type: W2

Core Requirements:

• 6-9 years of advanced Quality Engineering/Test Automation experience
• Mastery-level API Testing, Quality Engineering, and Selenium expertise
• Expert Selenium UI automation experience
• Hands-on Playwright experience
• Karate Framework experience with REST and SOAP API validation
• Experience with Postman, SoapUI, Rest Assured, or similar API testing tools
• Git, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipeline experience
• BDD/TDD, data-driven testing, and service mocking experience
• Strong Java, JavaScript, or Python coding/scripting skills
• Professional Go programming experience
• Must be located in Cincinnati and available onsite 5 days per week

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

• Retail Point-of-Sale (POS) testing experience
• Experience with QMetry, JIRA, or Zephyr
• Experience using AI-assisted tools for test case generation, automation support, defect summarization, regression analysis, and test data preparation

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain UI and API test automation
• Develop Selenium and Playwright automation for web applications
• Build REST and SOAP API validation using Karate Framework and supporting API tools
• Apply AI-assisted tools across test generation, automation, regression analysis, defect summarization, and test data preparation
• Execute regression testing and identify, document, and track defects
• Integrate automated testing into Git/Jenkins CI/CD pipelines
• Apply BDD/TDD, data-driven testing, and service-layer mocking
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to improve quality and automated test coverage
• Support testing of Retail POS or similar retail technology environments
