Walker Healthforce is seeking a Technical Lead – Node.js with 7+ years of experience to provide technical leadership and support the development and maintenance of scalable web applications and backend services. This is a Contract opportunity.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote

Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours

Worker Type: W2

Core Requirements:

• 7+ years of relevant JavaScript/Node.js development experience

• Strong Node.js and JavaScript development skills

• Experience developing scalable web applications and backend services

• Experience with front-end and back-end application development

• Strong API development and system integration experience

• Experience with cloud-based deployment

• Technical leadership, architecture, and engineering team mentorship experience

• Ability to travel up to 30%

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

• AWS experience

• Experience with current Node.js frameworks, cloud capabilities, and engineering tools

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services using Node.js

• Lead front-end and back-end development efforts

• Guide engineering teams in delivering high-quality solutions

• Collaborate with designers, developers, and business stakeholders

• Oversee API development, cloud deployment, and system integration

• Perform testing, debugging, and code reviews to maintain code quality

• Provide technical guidance for architecture and delivery planning

• Mentor engineering team members and promote development best practices

• Evaluate new Node.js, cloud, and engineering capabilities to support continuous improvement
