API Platform Development Engineer (Apigee Hybrid) | Remote | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking an API Platform Development Engineer with 10+ years of experience to provide API platform development, Apigee Hybrid migration, Kubernetes platform support, and API integration services. This is a Contract opportunity.

Start Date: ASAP
Location: Remote 
Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours
Worker Type: W2

Core Requirements:

• 10+ years of API platform development experience
• Hands-on experience with Apigee Hybrid and/or Apigee X
• Experience migrating and developing API proxies
• Strong Kubernetes experience
• Linux scripting and automation experience
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Experience with REST/SOAP APIs and API integrations
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or similar cloud environments
• U.S. Citizenship is required

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

• Experience with Azure or AWS cloud platforms
• Experience with infrastructure automation and containerized deployments

Job Responsibilities:

• Support Apigee Hybrid infrastructure
• Migrate existing APIs to the Apigee platform
• Develop and maintain API proxies and shared flows
• Support Kubernetes deployments and platform troubleshooting
• Automate deployments and environment configuration
• Support CI/CD processes and release automation
• Integrate REST/SOAP APIs with backend systems
• Collaborate with technical teams to deliver API platform solutions
