DBT Developer Lead – Teradata to Snowflake Migration | Remote | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking a DBT Developer Lead with 6–9 years of experience to provide leadership and hands-on development for enterprise data transformation and cloud data warehouse modernization initiatives. This is a Contract opportunity.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote

Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours

Worker Type: W2

Core Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) development
• Strong SQL and data modeling experience
• Experience with DBT core concepts, workflows, testing, and documentation
• Understanding of data warehousing principles
• Experience working with cloud platforms
• Ability to develop modular, reusable, and tested SQL-based code
• Familiarity with Git and version control tools
• Experience supporting Teradata to Snowflake migration projects

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

• Experience leading technical development workstreams
• Experience supporting enterprise cloud data warehouse modernization
• Strong collaboration skills across engineering, analytics, and business teams

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead DBT development for migration initiatives
• Design and maintain DBT models, transformations, and workflows
• Develop optimized SQL for data transformation and analytics
• Perform data modeling and support warehouse design
• Apply DBT testing, documentation, and workflow best practices
• Validate migrated data and troubleshoot transformation issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate reporting data
• Utilize Git for version control and collaborative development
• Support cloud-based data warehouse modernization initiatives
