Data Engineer – Data Products | Onsite | Raleigh, NC or Austin, TX | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking a Data Engineer – Data Products with 8+ years of experience to provide data engineering, data warehouse development, and scalable analytical data solutions. This is a Contract opportunity.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Onsite – Raleigh, NC  or Austin, TX

Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours

Worker Type: W2

Core Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying analytical data products
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL, Spark, and Scala in a production environment
• Experience building and maintaining scalable, high-performance data pipelines
• Experience with data warehouse architecture, ETL development, and data quality
• Experience with modern data platforms and lakehouse technologies including Iceberg, Trino, and Superset

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

• Experience with data modeling, analytics, and metric design
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Exposure to AI/ML, recommendation systems, feature engineering, Generative AI, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

Job Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable data warehouse solutions
• Develop and maintain ETL processes and data pipelines
• Optimize database and data warehouse performance
• Validate data quality and integrity
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver data products supporting analytics and reporting
