Data Product Manager / Data Engineer | Hybrid | Cupertino, CA | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking a Data Product Manager / Data Engineer with 8+ years of experience to provide strategic leadership and technical expertise in the design, development, and delivery of enterprise analytical data products. This is a Contract opportunity.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Hybrid – Cupertino, CA

Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours

Worker Type: W2

Core Requirements:

• 8+ years of experience designing and deploying analytical data products
• 3+ years leading enterprise data product initiatives as a Senior Individual Contributor
• Strong experience with SQL, Scala, Apache Spark, Kafka, and Airflow
• Experience with data modeling, dimensional/star schemas, and data warehousing
• Knowledge of CI/CD practices and version control
• Excellent communication skills with technical and business stakeholders

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

• Experience with Iceberg, Trino, or Superset
• Experience building large-scale production data pipelines
• Knowledge of lakehouse architectures
• AI/ML, feature engineering, GenAI, or RAG experience
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategy, design, and delivery of analytical data products.
• Partner with business and engineering teams to define metrics and data models.
• Standardize enterprise metrics and semantic layers.
• Support scalable data pipeline design and implementation.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations for business stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliable reporting.
