API Platform Development Engineer | Remote | Contract

Walker Healthforce is seeking an API Platform Development Engineer with 6–9 years of experience to support enterprise API platform development, Apigee Hybrid migration initiatives, and API integration efforts. This is a Contract opportunity.

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote

Hours/Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours

Worker Type: W2

Core Requirements

• 6–9 years of API/platform engineering experience
• Hands-on experience with Apigee Hybrid and/or Apigee X
• API proxy development and migration experience
• Kubernetes knowledge
• Linux scripting and automation experience
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• REST/SOAP API integration experience
• US Citizenship required
• Must successfully complete an FADV background check

We Consider It A Bonus If You Also Have:

• Azure experience
• AWS experience
• Cloud infrastructure automation
• Containerized application deployment experience

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and migrate API proxies using Apigee Hybrid/Apigee X.
• Support Kubernetes-based application deployments.
• Create automation scripts for deployment and platform operations.
• Build and maintain CI/CD deployment pipelines.
• Integrate APIs with backend systems.
• Troubleshoot API platform and deployment issues.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable API solutions.
